We were so glad to return to Sanibel's quiet East end after missing 2 seasons following monster Ian's damage. We stayed here prior to remediation and the upgrades are really noteworthy. Credit goes to the owners for thoughtfully making beautiful changes after devastation. VIP rentals was totally satisfactory. Almost everything appeared new, pristine, and fresh. The exterior stairs, showers, and screen porch were new and in perfect condition. Windows were washed so well that our visitors thought a window had been left open. The coordination of beautiful paint colors, new furnishings, vinyl plank flooring, accessories, bedding, wonderful new art including some vintage Ding Darling were really professional looking. Area rugs were lovely. We so appreciated the removal of carpeting and easy sweeping of sand. Many handy features were installed such as extra hooks everywhere for towels, etc. We hosted adult children and grandkids one week and the sleeping arrangements were very accommodating. The loft was especially appreciated with the bunk arrangement including LED reading lights that the kids enjoyed. There was even an additional twin bed that rolled out from under the full bottom bunk that would have been used for an extra grandchild, but that grandchild was ill and could not join us. The AC worked very well including good cooling the upper level. Having 3 bathrooms was so useful, especially when friends came for a 1 day visit. The view from the screen porch was spectacular. Dead vegetation has been removed and the mangroves appear lower offering more view than previously. New blooming plants and shrubs were installed. Especially appreciated were the stairs directly from the screen porch to the beach, with multiple mats for wiping feet to help keep sand out of the condo. There was much construction noise from 8-4 weekdays, but to us, that was a very happy sound of the Island recovering and being made new. Mornings, evenings and weekends were remarkably quiet and thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware. As I am an avid sourdough baker and cook a lot at home, I did request a few items which VIP rental agency delivered. The one grill at poolside was very handy, with direct natural gas supply and no need for constant replacement of propane tanks. It was shared among 4 units, but sharing was not an inconvenience as mealtimes and dinners out varied. The beach and bike paths were so enjoyable. Red tide was an issue for 2 weeks causing some unpleasantness on the beach and impacted fishing. Thankfully, it moved on and the fishing improved. Nearby new Bel Bagels, Wickies, and the Magic Schoolbus ice cream restaurants were within an easy walk. The quieter east end has easier on/off access to the causeway and much less traffic. We counted 26 years of family trips to Sanibel, and overall, this was our favorite rental due to the condition, quietness and location. We plan to return. ~Ellen K., 2/1/25-3/1/25

Loved our stay Property Reviewed: Seagrape Village 2 Dates Stayed: Sat, 07/20/2019 to Sat, 07/27/2019 Stayed in Seagrape Village unit 3 4 years ago. This year we had 2. All I can say is everything is heaven there and I wanted to cry on the last day. The pool, the quick walk to the beach, the fast drive to restaurants, the adorable beach decor in the house...Too much to list. Can’t wait to return!
JLK413 Sheboygan, Wisconsin Great location Left on Apr 19, 2016 for a stay in Apr 2016 Seagrape had enough room for 6 women, 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom. The location was excellent, near the lighthouse and away from the larger resorts. The pool was small but sufficient. The kitchen was equipped with everything necessary as we cooked many of our meals.
Great location for a quiet beach vacation Left on Jan 13, 2018 for a stay in Dec 2017 1 people found this review helpful This is a duplex unit. Two homes split in half for a total of four units in Seagrape village. There is an inground pool for the four units to share. The pool is somewhat small. The water was warm in the pool. However the lounge chairs were nasty. They had black mold all over them. They need a good scrubbing. The unit itself is exactly as described. The unit is comfortable. Two bedrooms are downstairs, each having a private bath and a bedroom, bathroom & loft upstairs. The living room & the two bedrooms downstairs have TVs in each room. I do wish the upstairs bedroom had a TV. The kitchen is small. It did have all the dishes you would need to stay at home and cook all your meals. I was glad the unit had a dishwasher. This unit has a laundry room. The washing machine is very loud. We just closed the door to the laundry room which muffled the washing machine enough to watch TV in the living room. The beach is amazing!!! Wear flip flops or some type of beach shoes because the shells are everywhere. Seagrape village is close enough to walk to the lighthouse. The unit has a private walkway to the beach or a public access ramp. The beach felt private despite having a public access ramp right next to the units. I loved not having to fight for a good sitting spot on the beach like you have to when you stay at condos. Also the unit has a shed filled with beach chairs for your use!!! The shed also has beach toys & an umbrella. The bridge to Sanibel island has a $6 toll one way. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely stay again!!!
