The easiest way to find parking on Sanibel Island is by locating for the public beach parking lots. These do tend to fill up fast during the peak season as they are first-come, first-serve so you’ll want to try to get there as soon as possible. Here are the public beach parking lots on the island:
- Lighthouse Beach Park and Fishing Pier
The Lighthouse Beach Park and Fishing Pier is located on the east end of the Island. The general parking fee is $5.00/hour (24 hours a day) and handicap accessible parking is available (parking is free for accessible parking).

- Tarpon Bay Road Beach Park

The Gulfside City Beach Park is located on the south-part of the Island off Casa Ybell Road. A or B parking permits are accepted as well as general parking and 2021 C parking permits are accepted through November 30, 2021. The general parking fee is $5.00/hour (24 hours a day) and handicap accessible parking is available (parking is free for accessible parking).

Boat Ramp Beach Park is located on the first left when entering the Island, on the north-eastern part of the island. C parking permits are accepted or parking is permitted for boat ramp use. Is free parking available on Sanibel Island or Captiva Island?
